Artober

Held each October, Artober Nashville is a month-long celebration of the arts in Nashville and Middle Tennessee. The celebration seeks to highlight the depth and variety of Nashville’s arts community and its many public offerings, while encouraging participation in the arts from residents and tourists alike. Visitors to the Artober Nashville page on NowPlayingNashville will find hundreds of arts and cultural events – many unique to the month of October – in every discipline, including visual and performing arts, music, festivals, family fun, crafts and film.

Artober Nashville is a program of NowPlayingNashville, an initiative of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, in collaboration with the Nashville Public Library and many community partners, all of whom list their events on NowPlayingNashville.com throughout the year.

Nashville Cultural Festival

When: October 6th, 2018

In a city where one in six residents is foreign–born, the Celebrate Nashville Cultural Festival is not only one of Nashville’s favorite and most vibrant festivals, but also a celebration and reminder of what makes Nashville a great place to live. This FREE Festival provides an opportunity for intercultural dialogue through a Nashville festival experience and features a variety of dance and musical performances on different stages, food vendors offering authentic and exotic tastes from around the world, hands-on children’s activities, an area just for teens, a marketplace, and so much more!

Corkdorks 2018 Nashville Whiskey Festival

When: October 6th, 2018

This is a celebration devoted to the exploration of whiskey from around the world and throughout the centuries. With distilleries from all over the world pouring from their finest barrels, it’s no wonder that spirits enthusiasts will be traveling from all over the country to attend the 2018 Corkdorks Nashville Whiskey Festival. The Festival will be held at the Omni Nashville Hotel Grand Ballroom. The Omni is located in the heart of downtown Nashville and is fully integrated to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

The goal of this festival is to encourage participants to truly taste, learn, explore and experience all the nuances in a variety of whiskeys. Regardless of personal taste preferences, this event is catered to a community with a deep appreciation for carefully handcrafted work and passionate, talented artisans. Corkdorks Nashville Whiskey Festival gives aficionados ample opportunity to sample the world’s finest international and American-made whiskeys, bourbons, and scotches while interacting with distillers and their representatives.

93rd Grand Ole Opry Birthday Bash Concert featuring Charley Pride

When: October 13th, 2018

Where:  Grand Ole Opry

The Grand Ole Opry presented by Humana is set to celebrate its 93rd birthday with an annual Birthday Bash and a special birthday concert by Opry and Country Music Hall of Fame member Charley Pride. The Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient made his Opry debut in 1967, charted 36 No. 1 singles, sold over 70 million records, and this year marks his 25th Anniversary as a Grand Ole Opry member. Tickets for this special birthday concert are avaiable now.

It just wouldn’t be fall without picking the perfect pumpkin, and we’ve got the one for you! Come see our renowned pumpkin house, filled with over 400 gourds, then pick your favorite pumpkin from our patch and take it home for carving, painting and decorating.
