Feast with the Beasts

When: November 1st, 2019

The Houston Zoo’s 14th annual Feast with the Beasts presented by Bank of America is back! Enjoy cuisine from Houston’s best restaurants, beer and wine, and a live concert performance on the H-E-B stage by The Suffers!

 

The event features spectacular animal experiences throughout the evening, and animal feedings sponsored by Comcast, so guests may watch the animals dine as they get their own taste of Houston’s best cuisine.

 

6th Annual Fall Fest

When: November 1st, 2019

Where: North Shore Rotary Pavilion

It's the kick off to our 6th year and we're excited to announce the Fall Fest 2017 "Perfect Element" weekend.

 

Chicagoans, we have heard you! This year our headline DJ is Chicago's own, Boolumaster!

 

The "Fall Fest" picnic is now a TICKETED and PAID event. Attendees ages 14 & up will now pay a $5 entry gate fee. Wristbands will be issued and all day in/out access will be granted. Children 13 and under are still FREE to attend!

 

The purchase of a VIP Lounge wristband INCLUDES one (1) entry gate ticket/wristband.

 

For every RESERVED, pavilion table purchased one (1) entry gate ticket/wristband is INCLUDED.

 

Art is an Outdoor Market

ART IS AN Outdoor Market is a European styled art market, with a Houston flare, featuring local Houston artists. 30th Annual Texas Championship Native American Pow Wow

When: November 9th, 2019

Where: Traders Village – Houston

A two-day Native American Pow Wow with colorful tribal dance contests, an arts & crafts show, teepees, honoring ceremonies, singing and much more will be part of the 30th Annual Texas Championship Pow Wow. This annual event is a great time to visit with old friends and make new ones. Plan to join us for this colorful and interesting event, presented by the DFW Inter-Tribal Association, at Traders Village – Houston on Saturday and Sunday, November 9 & 10, 2019.

 

Several hundred Native Americans, representing dozens of tribes from across the United States, will take part in this celebration of their culture and heritage. The drums will beat for the dancers in full regalia of feathers, buckskin, bells and bead-work competing for prize money and awards in eighteen different dance categories. Spectators will be amazed by the precision and showmanship that even the youngest competitors display in their dancing. Participants will range in age from two-year old toddlers to grandmothers in their 80’s.

 

Astroworld Festival 2019

When: November 9th, 2019

Founded by Travis Scott, Astroworld festival is a music fest curated by the Houston native himself. Astroworld festival takes place across the street from the former home of Astroworld, an amusement park opened in downtown Houston in 1968. Astroworld was originally built to complement the nearby astrodome, the world's first multi-purpose domed sports arena, referred to by many as the "eighth wonder of the world." the festival ultimately seeks to bring back the beloved spirit and nostalgia of Astroworld - making a childhood dream of Travis' come true. Residents of Houston and travelers from across the globe are now able to experience the magic that was Astroworld.

The Houston Filipino Street Festival has grown to be the biggest Filipino Festival in the south, showcasing Filipino Street Food, Entertainment, Family Activities, and More!

Tomball Depot Day

Magical Winter Lights

The Great State of Texas Food Truck Festival

The Taste Of Texas Food Truck Festival will take place on Saturday, November 16th, 2019. The inaugural event will take place in the Historic East End district at 4450 Harrisburg Blvd, Houston, TX, 77011.

 

The Taste Of Texas Food Truck Festival is designed to showcase the diversity in Houston’s culinary community along with some of the cities amazing musical talent.

 

Our focus is to highlight & celebrate our wonderful melting pot that we call home, and allow so many others to experience the real “H-TOWN” lifestyle. Frostival

Via Colori Street Festival

When: November 17 – 18, 2018

Via Colori features more than 200 local, national and international artists that create impressive chalk murals on the streets of downtown Houston. The only festival of its kind in Houston, also features three stages of live music, Via Bambini family zone, food and beverage vendors over the two-day event.

Via Colori raises more than $400,000 annually to fund health and educational services for children with hearing loss in Houston through The Center for Hearing and Speech and its renowned audiologists, teachers and speech-language pathologists.

Thanksgiving Day Parade

Join us Thanksgiving morning, November 22, 2018, at 9:00 a.m., for the H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade. The Parade is located in downtown Houston and is FREE for all. For those who would like to purchase general seating, there is an opportunity to do so on this page that will post November 2018.

The Houston Thanksgiving Day Parade began in 1949, when Santa arrived at Union Station and rode his sleigh to the downtown Foley’s. Since then, the Thanksgiving Day parade has gone through a few changes but today, it remains a 69-year-old holiday tradition showcasing the Houston community and entertaining parade-goers lining the streets on Thanksgiving morning. Join us again this year as we embrace the holiday spirit on Thursday, November 22, 2018 with the 69th Annual H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The 69th Annual H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade is produced by the Mayor's Office of Special Events, Susan Christian, Director and Parade Producer.

Frostival

When: November 16, 2018

The winter season kicks off on November 16, 2018 with Frostival a fun-filled night celebrating the opening of The ICE at Discovery Green!

Enjoy live music, live ICE battles with Reverend Butter, interactive ice sculptures, tunes from DJ Caps and more! 

Make a contribution to Discovery Green Conservancy, and you will receive a hand carved stein made of ice at the beer garden and Saint Arnold Brewing Company will fill it with root beer or a great locally crafted beer! A limited number will be available on the day of the event.
