Here Come the Mummies is an eight-piece funk-rock band of 5000 year-old Egyptian Mummies with a one-track mind. Their "Terrifying Funk from Beyond the Grave" is sure to get you into them (and possibly vice versa).
Since their discovery HCTM has been direct support for P-Funk, Al Green, Mavis Staples, KC and the Sunshine Band, and Cheap Trick; rocked Super Bowl Village; become a regular on The Bob and Tom Show; played massive festivals like Summer Camp, Common Ground, Voodoo Fest, Musikfest, Suwannee Hulaween, and Riverbend; and sold tickets by the thousands across large swaths of North America.
Maybe that’s why the ladies (and some dudes) can’t stop losing their minds over these mayhem-inducing mavens of mirth.

More than 5,000 chrysanthemums in deep autumn hues dominate our gardens as autumn colors take over Cheekwood.
Tour our collection of creative ‘crows in the Turner Seasons Garden, each created by members of the Nashville community.
It just wouldn’t be fall without picking the perfect pumpkin, and we’ve got the one for you! Come see our renowned pumpkin house, filled with over 400 gourds, then pick your favorite pumpkin from our patch and take it home for carving, painting and decorating.

From its original location in downtown Houston (what is now Tranquility Park) to the sprawling grounds that border Yoakum Boulevard, Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral has become a major force in the religious and social communities that comprise Houston today.
Part of the proceeds from the Greek Festival have helped many people through donations to various charitable organizations, such as Children’s Assessment Center, S.E.A.R.C.H., Houston Area Women’s Center, Covenant House, Texas Emergency Aid Coalition (EAC), and the Star of Hope Mission.

Established in 1972, the Art Colony Association, Inc. ("ACA") is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to producing high quality art festivals and events to provide financial support to local nonprofit organizations. Over the past 47 years, the Art Colony Association, producer of The Bayou City Art Festival Downtown in the fall and Bayou City Art Festival Memorial Park in the spring, has raised 3.6 million dollars in support local nonprofit organizations. The Festivals are funded in part by grants from the City of Houston and through Houston Arts Alliance.

Dia de los Muertos at Traders Village with Telemundo Houston

Traders Village and Telemundo Houston celebrate “Dia De Los Muertos” (Day of the Dead). Mexican traditions honor the life of a departed family member and loved ones by celebrating on this special day.
Dress up your entire Familia in Dia de los Muertos’ costumes and join us in the parade. Prizes will be awarded for the top three costumes.
Build your best decorated Dia de los Muetros Altar with photos, Marigold flowers, Papel Picado, “Pan de Muerto” (Day of the Dead bread), Calaveras’s de Azucar (Sugar Skulls) and offer your loved ones their favorite foods. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes will also be awarded for this contest. There will also be Mariachi and Aztec Fire Dancers!

The Texas Renaissance Festival is an interactive theme park that embraces different eras, including the 16th century and beyond. The 55-acre theater is filled with live entertainment, food and. The festival opens Weekends beginning September 29 - November 25, Saturdays, Sundays and Thanksgiving Friday.
The enchanted 55-acre village comes to life as all of Europe comes to pay homage to the King and Queen with Eight Themed Weekends. Hundreds of costumed performers are showcased in over 200 daily performances. Visitors meander along shaded cobblestone walkways visiting almost 400 shoppes overflowing with unique arts and crafts of offering delicious foods and beverages. All ages will be amused by the games of skill and human-powered rides. Revel in the sights, sounds, smells, tastes and beauty of this authentically recreated 16th Century British village with lush landscaped grounds and vines. A perfect day ends as behold the burst of Royal Fireworks held above the Festival's lake.
