October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Don’t let the fear of cancer prevent you from taking the time to schedule your mammogram this month. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month and that means if you haven’t done so this year you need to schedule your annual mammogram.

The key to fighting breast cancer is early detection. You can create your own Early Detection Plan by knowing the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, performing monthly self exams, having a professional exam at your doctor’s office or clinic, scheduling and keeping your mammogram appointments and eating healthy and taking care of yourself.

And don’t forget to remind the women in your life to do the same.
