How To Help Houston Flood Victims


Hopefully you have managed to safe and dry during the recent floods in Houston. If you have suffered damage to your person or property our thoughts and prayers are with you and other flood victims at this time. If you have storm damage there are many things you need to do. What follows is a list of resources to help you after the storms.

If you suffered damage to your home or other property you will need to file a claim. Contact your insurance company if you haven’t already. Be sure to document any damage by taking pictures of videos of the damage. Call 311 to notify the city of the damage and to alert them to debris clean up.

Houston Red Cross – It’s always a good time to give blood. Right now the Red Cross is in need of volunteers for their shelter operations.

Many families have lost so much and will need help replacing things like furniture and clothing, if you would like to donate these or other needed items please visit the Salvation Army for more information. They are also taking monetary donations for people in need.
