Houston’s Housing Market Still Dodging a Slump in Prices


There have been many prediction that Houston’s housing market will soon hit a slump, and with all of the factors in effect, it’s almost a surprise that it hasn’t! Between the purge in oil prices and the energy sector layoffs, a slump in the housing market would have been no surprise.

Thankfully, those predictions have yet to come true. Houston’s real estate market is without a doubt holding it’s own.

Take a look at the graph below from www.har.com. This graph shows that even with the highs and lows in the single family home sales in the last five years, there has still been a steady increase in sales.
