26th Annual Houston Turkish Festival

The 26th Houston Turkish Festival will celebrate all things Turkish, including authentic Turkish food, coffee, music, traditional folklore dancing including the famous whirling dervishes, a kids’ corner filled with fun activities, arts & crafts, cultural exhibitions as well as a very colorful Grand Bazaar.

International Quilt Festival

The International Quilt Festival is the largest annual quilt show in the U.S. and takes place each fall in Houston, Texas. Festival regularly attracts 55,000 people from over 35 countries all around the world. There’s shopping at more than 1,000 booths for quilts, fabric, supplies, and crafts, along with 500 classes and lectures for all experience levels. More interested in art than in classes?Festival features more than 1,500 quilts and unique works of textile art on display. 37th Annual Houston Ballet Nutcracker Market

Arcade by the Color Condition

Now through November 15th, Avenida Houston comes to life with the color and beauty of Arcade, by The Color Condition. Featuring streamer sculptures sliced out of materials, the art installation will bring a new image, vision, color, pattern and painting with every gust of wind. The dynamic exhibition will not only bring dramatic color and whimsy to Avenida Houston, but also provide much needed shade during the Houston’s summer.

Veteran’s Day Celebration

Houston is a cornerstone of Veterans Day celebrations in the United States.  As a city, Houston is proud to pay tribute to our men and women in the military by providing an annual “Houston Salutes American Heroes Veterans Day Celebration”.  This civic celebration honors and celebrates the brave men, women, and families who pay the ultimate sacrifice for liberty and freedom.

The celebration this year will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday November 11, 2017 with the 9/11 Heroes Run which was cancelled on 9/11 this year due to the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.

All proceeds from registration (excluding cost of shirts/fulfillment) will be donated to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund.

Texas Renaissance Festival

The nation’s largest, most acclaimed Renaissance themed park. Each year, over 500,000 guests pass through the Festival’s gates and enter the magic of New Market Village, an authentically recreated 55 acre 16th century English township located 50 miles northwest of Houston, Texas.

Each year, for 9 fun-filled weekends September 30 to November 26, The Texas Renaissance Festival presents an enchanted world full of Kings and Queens, Lords and Ladies, Knights, Nobles, Fairies, Elves, Pirates, Barbarians and other fanciful interactive characters.  Guests will be entertained by a marvelous assortment of unique performers: musicians, magicians, acrobats, jugglers, dancers with over 200 daily performances on over 20 stages throughout the village.
