Color HTX

Color HTX is a conscious festival committed to celebrating the diversity and unity of our community. Color HTX is an evolution of the Holi Festivals that are traditionally celebrated to welcome the season of spring with an atmosphere of love and joy. This family friendly festival, hosted at Bhakti Urban Farm, is open to people of all ages and backgrounds. Bhakti Urban Farm (a project of ISKCON of Houston), an exciting new farm community just minutes from Houston Heights, is meant to inspire people towards a holistic lifestyle based on the wisdom from ancient agrarian cultures, specifically by caring for land and cows for sustainability, thru performing arts and music, practicing meditation and yoga. We are committed to making Houston a more conscious place to live through our community driven events at. Come join us for a celebration unlike any other!!

 

Houston Latinfest

The Houston Latin Fest is a family- oriented Latin music festival that provides the surrounding Latin communities in Houston a place to gather with family and friends to listen and dance to live Latin music, connect with other fans in an open social space, and celebrate their Latin heritage.

 

The Houston Latin Fest is a festival that was created for all Latin people(El festival de todos los latinos) to promote unity, diversity and to preserve the tradition of Latin music for future generationslike no other festival. It also features some of today’s top performers in Latin music.

 

WorldFest – Houston

International Film Festival

When: April 5 - 14, 2019

WorldFest was founded over 52 years ago as an International Film Society in August, 1961. WorldFest became the third competitive international film festival in North America, following San Francisco and New York. WorldFest is the oldest Independent Film & Video Festival in the World. It evolved into a competitive International Film Festival in April, 1968. It was founded by award-winning producer/director Hunter Todd to present a quality film festival for the Independent filmmakers.

 

32ndAnnual Houston Art Car Parade

When: April 11 - 13, 2019

Where: Downtown Houston

 

The Houston Art Car Parade is the highlight of a four-day celebration of the drive to create, Houston Art Car Parade Weekend.

The parade attracts 250+ vehicles and other entries from 23 states along with Canada and Mexico

A live audience of some 250,000+ spectators

Parade entries include anything on wheels from bicycles and unicycles to lawnmowers to cars and go-carts

Entries are as likely to be made by members of the general public as by recognized artists

Community groups, public and private schools, and professional organizations have become regular participants. Inspired by what they see, spectators create art cars of their own and often become future participants. And as the parade grows, attracting more and more participants, the complexity and quality of the entries increases.

 

Japan Festival Houston

Japan Festival Houston celebrates the rich cultural heritage of Japan with traditional and contemporary performances of Japanese music, dance and martial arts, Japanese/Japanese-inspired food, as well as demonstrations and displays of Ikebana flower arrangement, tea ceremony, origami, bonsai and more.

 

The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival

When: April 13 – 14, 2019

The Woodlands Arts Council will present the 14th Annual Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival on April 13th and 14th, 2019.

 

Town Green Park and the waterway will be transformed into an outdoor art gallery featuring over 200 juried artists from across the country.

 

Enjoy 4 entertainment stages, hands-on art activities and demonstrations along with amazing food and beverages all weekend long.
